If you are issued a traffic ticket in the western portion of Lake County, Illinois, you likely have traffic court in the Round Lake Beach Branch Court.
The most common traffic tickets heard here are:
- speeding,
- aggravated speeding,
- driving on a suspended license, and
- other minor common tickets.
When you arrive at the Round Lake Beach Branch Court, you’ll see there is plenty of parking in the large lot to the left of the building. You can park there for free. When you enter the front doors of the courthouse, you’ll need to pass through security. There are metal detectors so take off your belt and remove any metal items from your pockets. You are permitted to bring your phone inside the courthouse, just be sure to turn it off or leave it on silent.
Once inside, you’ll see the Clerk and cashier straight ahead. The courtroom on your left is where all traffic cases are heard. If you don’t have a lawyer, you can check in with the clerk. However, if you are represented by a lawyer, don’t bother checking in as they will do it for you.
