This policy describes how Driver Defense Team (“DDT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit https://www.driverdefenseteam.com or contact us through the site.
Information We Collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a contact form, request a free consultation, or otherwise submit a form on our site, we collect the information you provide — typically your name, phone number, email address, and a description of your legal situation.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we (and the third-party tools described below) automatically collect certain information when you visit the site, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at our site.
Phone calls. If you call a phone number displayed on our site, that call may be routed through a call-tracking service (see “Call Tracking” below), which processes the calling number as part of connecting and logging the call.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiry and provide the legal services you request;
- Communicate with you about your case, appointment, or account;
- Improve our website and understand which pages and marketing campaigns are effective;
- Measure and optimize our advertising.
Phone Number & SMS Consent
By providing your mobile phone number, you consent to receive SMS messages from Driver Defense Team regarding your account, services, appointments, and case updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
You can opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message, emailing office@ddtlawgroup.com, or calling (708) 734-6029.
We do not sell your phone number, and we do not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes. We do share it with the service providers described below (such as our call-tracking and CRM providers) solely so they can perform services on our behalf.
Cookies & Tracking Technologies
Our site uses cookies and similar tracking technologies from the following categories of tools. Some load on every visit; others only load on certain pages or campaigns.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site, delivered through Google Tag Manager. Google’s Privacy Policy · How Google uses information from sites that use Google services
Advertising. We use the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel and Google Ads conversion tracking to measure how our ads perform and to show our ads to people who may be interested in our services. These tools use cookies and similar identifiers tied to your browsing activity. In addition, when you submit a form on our site, we use Meta’s “advanced matching” feature: a one-way hashed (encrypted) version of the contact details you entered — such as your email address, phone number, and name — is sent to Meta to help match your inquiry to your Meta account and improve ad measurement and targeting. Meta receives only the hashed values, not the plain-text details. Meta’s Cookie Policy · How Google uses cookies in advertising
Call Tracking. We use CallRail to route and record calls placed to phone numbers displayed on our site, so we can measure which marketing efforts generate calls and, in some cases, for quality and training purposes. Calls to and from our office may be recorded or monitored. CallRail’s Privacy Policy
Attribution. We may use Heeet to track which marketing source (e.g., a specific ad or search result) led to your visit, so we can attribute leads accurately.
Scheduling. Some pages let you book a consultation directly through Calendly. If you do, the information you enter into that scheduler (name, email, phone, and appointment details) is collected by Calendly and by us. Calendly’s Privacy Policy
Reviews. We display client reviews sourced from our Google reviews. On most pages these are shown through our own first-party review display; some pages still use a third-party review widget (Trustindex) that loads content from Google’s review platform.
Security. We use Cloudflare for hosting, performance, and bot protection, including Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish real visitors from automated bots on our forms.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and Google and Meta each offer their own ad-personalization controls (Google Ads Settings · Meta Ad Preferences). Blocking cookies may affect how our site functions.
Who We Share Your Information With
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers who perform functions on our behalf — including our customer relationship management (CRM) system, call-tracking provider, scheduling tool, and the analytics/advertising platforms described above — solely to provide their services to us;
- Other attorneys or professionals, if we refer your matter to someone better suited to help (for example, if your legal issue falls outside what our firm handles);
- Legal or regulatory authorities, if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
If you request a password reset (for any account-holding area of the site), your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How Long We Retain Your Data
We retain the information you submit for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, maintain business records, and comply with our legal and professional obligations as a law firm. You can request that we delete personal information we hold about you that we are not otherwise required to retain — see “Your Rights” below.
Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- Request that we correct or delete that information;
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (California residents; we do not currently sell personal information, and our use of advertising cookies described above is the type of activity some state privacy laws characterize as “sharing” — contact us using the information below to submit a request).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at office@ddtlawgroup.com.
Children’s Privacy
Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the tools we use. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
