“The overall experience with DDT was positive, as the attorneys handled my case professionally and it came to the desired conclusion. I spoke with an attorney named Jared (unsure of last name) the day prior to my court hearing to discuss the process and address any questions, but attorney Kelly Moore provided me with the status update after the hearing was completed. Jared was helpful in addressing my questions, and both Jared and Kelly were professional in their communications. Maria Torres was my intake contact, and Jan Demaala was my case manager, and both were supportive during our discussions. The only recommendation I would have is to manage client expectations regarding communications during the process. In my case, after the intake discussion and signing of paperwork, we had ~5 weeks until my hearing date. I spoke to my case manager one time, received one text update with guidance regarding the attorney handling the court appearance, and had one phone discussion with the attorney. I understand that it is a large firm with many cases to handle, and it is the holiday season, but I was initially advised that I would have weekly contact with the case manager. For my case it was fine (and I honestly would not want to receive 10 calls/texts with no material information), but I could imagine clients with more complex cases might need the expected weekly check-ins.
