Pro-Bono Ticket Defense for CDL Operators During the COVID-19 Outbreak
Last updated on
The COVID-19 outbreak has shut down entire industries and threatened the American way of life. However, as a truck driver, you are still putting food on our tables, supplying our hospitals, stocking our stores and materials in our factories – all during one of the most challenging epidemics this nation has faced. We would like to express our gratitude by offering free legal representation to protect your driving record and your livelihood.
Now more than ever, the commitment made by you – the truck driver – comes at great risk. In addition to the usual hazards of the road, a potential viral exposure could endanger both your life and the lives of your family members.
Our law office cannot directly reduce the risks you face. However, we believe we can use our experience to help protect your career.
We defend hundreds of CDL drivers every year — around 300, to be more precise. That amounts to more than one every business day. We also defend many other types of drivers. Our clients depend on this service to preserve their licenses and, in some cases, their careers.
During this crisis, we share the Illinois and the federal governments’ opinions that your work is essential to keeping our most critical services running. We will do everything we can to help you stay out on the road. In fact, it’s the least we can do.
Details of Our Offer
Driver Defense Team is proud to offer CDL freight operators completely free representation for petty traffic offenses received during Illinois’ Gov. JB Pritzker’s stay-at-home order (COVID-19 Executive Order No. 8) in the Lake, Cook and DuPage counties.
This area covers the majority of Chicagoland’s highway-and-tollway network, including many sections of Interstate’s 41, 90, 94, 290, 294, 88 and several others. It extends from the Indiana border up north, to Wisconsin along the lake, and also out west of Chicago to the Naperville area.
We are also offering 50 percent discounts for criminal defense and representation for ordinance violations. These issues would need to originate in the same counties and during the same time periods mentioned above to qualify for the discount.
Both offers extend to all qualifying tickets for both existing and new CDL-holding clients. Please feel free to share this information with anyone who may require this service.
Above all, we want to express our gratitude to you and your fellow truckers for your continued commitment to our businesses, our communities and our country. Thank you, and please be safe out there.
